Strategy

I plan to explore the area under the bridge in the wooded area of the park more on this walk. I think there is a lot more to it then I had discovered in the first two walks.

I plan to use similar light capturing strategies in this walk. With the close ups and maybe some more fences. What I really am looking for is footage that means something to me, that moves me.

I plan to find very sound filled areas to get plenty of audio to work well with my video. I will Get a wide varity so I have plenty to work with.

Ten Questions

1. What new sounds will I be able to find?
2. How will the footage differ now with the weather changing?
3. How will my video differ from the video I have now?
4. How well will my audio be the second time I record?
5. How well will I find an area to record?
6. What new insight will I gain from this walk?
7. What new areas will I come across on this walk?
8. How well I will be at finding sound after doing it once before?
9. What will be the qualitiy of the footage after the third walk?
10. How will the footage differ from wht was previously recorded?

Assessment 4

I really enjoyed walking down the street looking for fences. It was like I was a spectator, just walking down a side walk, people all around but not paying attention to me. Maybe a few stares when I stopped to talk a picture other then that I was a ghost. But I was an observer looking for interesting scenery. I truly felt like an artist, I was out in the world trying to find objects that stuck out to me, that meant something to me. I think all scenery is beautiful, rural or urban and on this walk I could really enjoy and look at it, take it all in and process the true beauty of it.

Assessment 3

On one of my walks I had come across a bundled up wooden and wire fence, which I had taken a picture of from the inside view. I thought it would make a nice picture. Later when I loaded it onto my computer I realized it was a great shot and one of my favorites ones.

I had chosen fences for one of my light capturing strategies thinking it would be an easy one, but what I found out was there is actually a lot of beauty in fences. With vines growing on them or the senery in the background or how an angle can best cature the feeling of what a fence can represent. The walk was an eye opener to a new beauty in the world, while we might think of fences as bad things, something that locks us either in or out, turned out to be beautfiul at the same time.

While recording sound I came across the sound of nature (besides the faint sound of traffic). When you are completely quit you can hear nature at its best and hear the beautiful natural sounds it can make. Under the bridge, which was kind of woodsy. I could hear the rusling of leaves, the blowing wind and the sound of animales creeping and running around. It was a beautiful caming experience.

Assessment 2

I had found a bridge in the park and had gone down underneath it. It was a beautiful setting, with all the trees with the leaves falling off a bunch of different colors (which I think is gorgeous), there also was a bit of water that ran under the bridge and also a pipe that drained just a bit of water that I thought was inspiring.

On my walk I had found a beautiful pink flower that I had decided to record. I loved just watching it blow in the wind close to the lense of my camera, bouncing around from center to the outer edeg of the lenses. It was calming and very beautiful thing to watch.

Assessment 1

All of Milwaukee's traffic was aggravating. Every sound clip I had you can faintly hear traffic in the background. I tried to get away from it by going into the middle of the park, but I couldn't and you can still hear the traffic in all of them.

It was also very cloudy and hazy over the week I went out to record, which made it hard for nice clips that had the sun reflecting in either the background, off the camera, or on the object I was recording.
